Green Spaces, Diverse Places: Commercial Real Estate

In our “Green Spaces, Diverse Places” series, we’ve explored the transformative power of plants across various sectors. This month, we turn our attention to commercial real estate, encompassing properties like office buildings, shopping centers, industrial complexes, and multi-tenant facilities. Unlike single-owned businesses or individual office spaces, these properties often house multiple tenants and serve diverse functions, presenting unique challenges and opportunities for interior landscaping.

At Leafscape, we’ve had the privilege of partnering with esteemed commercial real estate firms in Arkansas, including Kelley Commercial Partners, Moses Tucker Partners, Colliers International, and Sage Partners for multiple decades. Our collaborations with these clients have allowed us to design and maintain plant installations that enhance the appeal and functionality of shared spaces, lobbies, and common areas, creating inviting environments for tenants and visitors alike.

Another long-standing client, Pavilion in the Park in West Little Rock, has utilized our services since 1991. Even after the devastating tornado in 2023 that significantly damaged their building, they continued to prioritize incorporating greenery into their renovated spaces, recognizing the value plants bring in terms of aesthetics and occupant well-being.

Clients like P4 Realty continue to expand their management portfolio and bring us along as a valued part of their space improvements.  One example of this was their management of the executive suites at the Arcade Building in Little Rock last year.

Newer clients like The Terry Moore and Associates Building have returned to Leafscape, reaffirming the trust and satisfaction our services inspire. The unique needs of commercial real estate in Arkansas have allowed us to develop versatile solutions, from large-scale atrium plantings to subtle enhancements in shared corridors.

For commercial real estate owners and managers, investing in interiorscaping with a professional interior plant company like Leafscape is more than just an aesthetic choice—it’s a smart business decision. Plants not only elevate a property’s curb appeal and visual impact, but they also contribute to tenant retention, increased property value, and enhanced brand perception. Studies show that greenery in shared spaces fosters a sense of well-being, reduces noise, improves air quality, and even encourages longer visits to commercial properties. Additionally, Leafscape’s comprehensive plant care services, including installation, maintenance, and design consultation, ensure that plants remain healthy and vibrant without adding extra work for property managers. By incorporating greenery into commercial spaces, Leafscape helps create environments that feel welcoming, professional, and engaging—ultimately benefiting both property owners and the businesses that call these spaces home.
