April 7 – 10, 2013 – National Interiorscape Network Sales Partner Retreat
Twice a year this select group of Indoor Landscapers from across the globe meets to network, learn, and crunch numbers in order to make each of our businesses better as well as help one another along the way. The spring retreat this year is being held in Oklahoma City. We are anxious to see how our 2013 stacked up as compared to similar companies as well as bring back lots of new ideas to better ourselves and our company!
June 21-23, 2013 – ASID National Conference
The American Society of Interior Designers will have its National Chapter Conference in Los Angeles welcoming 500 chapter leaders and 30,000 attendees. ASID has joined Dwell on Design to create the largest modern design event in the country. Curated by the editors of Dwell magazine, the three-day celebration brings together the best and brightest products, services, and thought leaders in modern design today for a series of conversations, demonstrations, tours, and more. During Trade Day, June 21, special design trade programs and presentations will be hosted including a program for the “sustainability for professionals” geared toward interior designers, architects, builders, and landscape architects.
August 13-15, 2013 – Plantscape Industry Expo
“Advancing the professionalism of interior plantscapers through quality programs, educational materials, and networking opportunities” is the mission statement of the Plantscape Industry Alliance This mission is in full effect during their annual expo, which is the largest trade show and conference dedicated to the interiorscape industry. Tropical Plant Industry Experts, interior plantscape and company CEOs, CFOs, owners and managers, department heads, and facility managers are expected to attend this year’s event held at the South Point Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Exhibitor Showcase is a 2-day event that included 62 vendor booths in 2012. PIA members receive special exhibitor and conference discounts, as well as early registration discounts through July23. Leafscape is proud to be a member of PIA. The management team always comes back from this event filled with new ideas and renewed energy from being surrounded by so many individuals who share our common passion. Once again, we are very excited to see what the PIA Expo board has created for us this year.
September 2013 – AIA Arkansas State Convention
Hot Springs, Arkansas is host to the Arkansas Chapter of the American Institute of Architects annual State Convention. Generally a 3-day event, the convention includes continuing industry education, a golf tournament, bike tours, silent auctions, social events for participants, and vendor booths. Architects, associates, and affiliate members will be in attendance providing us the perfect opportunity to make important local connections for future projects.
